Summary
Prof. Metin Kımıldar has been conducting research, analysis and applications in herbal therapy (phytotherapy) since 2006.
He wrote a 480-page book describing the active substances in plants, with his own photographs taken in the natural environment and the chemical analyses of 160 different plants. During research trips across all provinces of Anatolia he took more than 33,000 macro plant photographs, building one of the largest plant archives in Turkey. He has also studied the use of plants in medicine in Iraq, Algeria, Jordan, Northern Cyprus, Russia, Ukraine and China, including about one year of research at the Nikitsky Botanical Garden.
In 2013 he opened the Flora Wellness Center. He teaches phytotherapy, aromatherapy, mycotherapy, apitherapy, naturopathy and natural cosmetics, and is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the World Aging Council.
